Abs, Glutes & Thighs  - Can you pinch more than an inch? Want to turn abs of flab into a chiseled torso? Does your butt need a lift? Blast your gut and shape your derriere with our safe, fun and effective no impact core strengthening exercise system.
This class is packed with effective exercises for the abs, back, glutes and legs to tone and strengthen the mid-section and lower body.  Includes intense abdominal conditioning and finishing with a refreshing stretch. Develop core strength and stability in this fun but challenging class. Bring a water bottle, light weights and mat.


This class is packed with effective exercises for the abs, back, glutes and legs to tone and strengthen the mid-section and lower body. Begin with a warm-up , alternately work targeted muscles (including intense abdominal conditioning), and finish with a refreshing stretch. Aerobics Circuit Class - Catch the fitness fever that's running all over town with our aerobic circuit class. Aerobic intervals designed to burn fat, alternated with weight/bands segments to sculpt and strengthen, will give you results with this proven effective combination.

Aerobics & Sculpting w/weights - Join Fitness Factory for a motivating exercise program. This high energy, cardio workout is a combination of high and low impact aerobics and body sculpting with weights. This will help tighten and tone your muscles and is not only heart healthy, but fun to do to with yesterday and today's favorite hits! Whether you are a beginner with new fitness goals or an experienced exerciser looking for a challenging cross training, body toning, fun workout, this is a class for you. Bring a mat or towel, hand weights and a bottle of water.
 

AQUA KICK & PUNCH FOR FITNESS & FUN - Use the resistance of the water to power those kicks and punches. The combinations of kickboxing movements with conditioning drills will improve the core muscles, endurance, and balance, increase strength and range of motion and work both the upper and lower body. All levels can participate. Be prepared for a challenge and a fun class.

AQUA BODY CONDITIONING WITH HYDRO-TONE - Get maximum results using the water’s resistance with Hydro-Tone equipment. This low-impact workout is safe for every fitness level. The rewards include muscle strength and tone, cardiovascular endurance and muscle balance. All the body’s major muscle groups are used. The resistance and intensity depends on the force applied to the equipment. Therefore, the workout is intense enough for the strongest athletes, yet safe and gentle enough for the elderly.

Bhangra Aerobics - Keeping aerobics fun, that is what this all about. If you are looking for a way to beat the ordinary routine of an aerobic class, this is it. Join the instructor as she combines some beautiful and upbeat steps from a popular following called Bhranga. Bhangra comes from Punjab, a state in North India. It is a varied and fun dance and a great, new way to get your aerobic exercise in while having fun and learning something new.

Body Blaster Circuit - “Short circuit” the fat with our challenging cardio circuit class. Aerobic intervals designed to burn fat alternate with weights and band segments to sculpt and strengthen. This effective combination is heart smart and with regular workouts will give you a powerful, supple body. Key ingredients include a good pair of athletic shoes, hand weights, dynaband, mat, towel, water and the desire to work up a sweat!

Body Toning - Strengthen and tone every muscle group. Burn fat and boost you metabolism. You will feel energized and stronger about yourself, by working your upper-body to lower-body, with abdominal exercises to strengthen your core muscle. Please bring 3 or 5 lb. hand weights, water and mat. This is a great work out to get you in shape for summer

Boot Camp - WARNING: THIS CLASS IS TOO MUCH FUN! The ultimate fat burning workout combining all your favorites—kickboxing, step, weights and some challenging drills, plus anything else the instructor thinks up—all kicked up a notch! Be the master of muscle as you build endurance and strength. Raise the bar and challenge yourself to achieve a new level of fitness. Bring your hand weights, dynaband, a mat, towel and lots of water. Athletic shoes with good support are a must!

Cardio Fit Aerobics - Whether you take it high, keep it low or somewhere in between, this high-energy, heart-healthy workout is fun to do. Burn calories, trim fat and build muscle in this safe and effective class which combines state-of-the-art exercise techniques to warm up your muscles, get the blood flowing and leave you refreshed and ready for more. Weights/bands are used for muscle conditioning. Bring a mat, water, light hand weights and dynaband (optional).

CardioPilates - You love what Pilates does for your body--now fall in love with what CardioPilates does for your heart. This new, fat burning, one hour class incorporates your favorite Pilates moves into an energetic cardio routine. Bring light hand weights and dynabands.

Circuit Challenge - This class is for all fitness levels and incorporates cardio, body sculpting and core conditioning in fun, ever-changing intervals. No fancy choreography to learn and you will never be bored with this total body workout. Bring water, a mat, and three to five lb. weights to class.

Core Essentials - Stretch and tone with core training, a blend of muscle toning exercises, yoga stretches and mat science core moves. You will strengthen your muscles and increase flexibility, stability and range of motion, with focus on the hips, back and abs. If you are looking to enhance the mind-body connection, this choreography-free class is a wonderful complement to your fitness regimen and suitable for all fitness levels. Bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing.

Extreme / Ultimate Body Makeover- Tired of watching makeover shows, wishing it were you? But don’t want the pain and expense of surgery? Here is the answer! Strength training has been proven to boost metabolism. Turn abs of flab into a chiseled torso, lift and reshape glutes, tone legs, hips and thighs. Develop core strength; reshape your body using bands, weights, and your own body weight. Create your own ultimate body! Bring a mat, hand held weights and a bottle of water to class.

Fat Burner - Burn those excess calories and fat while strengthening your whole body in a safe and entertaining way! This class is specifically designed to do just that by combining a longer high impact, energy induced, cardio strengthening routine with dance inspired, low impact movements. What a fun and effective way to get in shape!! Say good-bye to those extra fat calories and say hello to our Fat Burner Class!!

This intensive mat workout enhances posture, flexibility, endurance, and balance while toning and firming your Powerhouse (core). Don't be fooled- this is a challenging workout- be we know that you will love the fat burning results! Pilates is great for all fitness levels and ages. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, hand weights, and band.

Fit Dance - Burn the Floor and Fat! - Hot music! Fun moves! Let your body get lost in the rhythms of the Caribbean, deepest Africa, an Irish jig or a country line dance. Even if you’ve never danced a step, feel like you’re on Broadway with our easy to follow routines, designed to give you the maximum fat burning workout with the most fun per hour! Extended cardio time means more calories burned! Now is the time to work on getting that lean dancer’s look, and dance your cares away! Bring a mat and water. Athletic shoes with good support are a must!

Hi/Low Impact Aerobics - Join Fitness for a motivating exercise program. This high energy, cardio workout is a combination of high and low impact aerobics that is not only heart healthy, but fun to do to with yesterday's and today's favorite hits! You'll begin with a warm up that will get your blood and body flowing at a safe and gradual pace. Then, you'll pick it up to get your heart rate going with an aerobic routine combining high and low impact aerobics, and end with a relaxing cool down, which will bring your heart rate back down to normal range, and a refreshing stretch to maintain flexibility. Weights and Dynabands may be used for muscle conditioning, depending on instructor. Bring a mat or heavy towel and a water bottle.

Interval Training - This class is fun, moving, and never boring! 
Working at a high intensity burns more calories, but a high intensity cannot be sustained over a long period.  Interval training is the answer to an efficient, calorie-burning workout.  Alternating between working hard and then recovering is a great way to burn fat.  Using cardio routines with toning routines creates a total body workout. You will enjoy and get the workout you have been looking for.

Kick Boxing (non-contact) - One “kick butt” class! This is an explosive, challenging program utilizing martial arts and boxing techniques, combined with roping and plyometric movements. From warm up to cool down, this class works your core muscles and provides natural stress relief! You will love this class. Bring a water bottle, light weights and mat.

Kick Boxing Combo - Two great classes in one! Get a total body workout with two favorites—kick boxing and step plus muscle conditioning in one class. Bring a water bottle, weights, bands and mat.

Kick box Sculpt - Two great classes in one! Get a total body workout with two popular favorites�non-contact kickboxing plus muscle conditioning. Thirty minutes of cardio kickboxing and thirty minutes of total body strength training, including abs, makes this a very efficient class. Bring a mat, hand weights, dynaband (optional) and water.

Kids’ Kickboxing (45 minute class)This class is so much fun that kids will not even realize they are building a healthy lifestyle! Kids love this great class where they can burn off excess energy and learn basic tae-bo style kick box moves and drills while grooving to kid pop tunes. Parents love it because it builds self-esteem, enhances focus and concentration and improves motor skills and coordination. Child should wear gym shoes and comfortable clothing. Parent or legal guardian must complete and sign Fitness Factory form at first class.

Kids Pilates - Do you have a serious athlete in the family? Then, Kids Pilates is the perfect cross training for your gymnast, soccer player, ballet dancer or ball handler! Some classes may use bands and balls help teach kids the basics of body control, balance and flexibility in a challenging yet nurturing atmosphere. Kids should wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat to class. This class is done without shoes—kid perfect!

Low Impact Aerobics - Lower doesn't necessarily mean slower. This is a vigorous, powerful, heart strengthening exercise routine that keeps your feet on the ground, while you are reaching for the stars and relieving stress from your joints. This class will help you lose unwanted fat, calories and inches from your body, while toning and trimming your muscles. Begin with a warm up to bring your heart rate up then continue in to a low impact, heart smart aerobic routine and end with a stress reducing cool down and stretch. So you see, low doesn't mean slow, it means it's your time to glow!! Weights and Dyna-bands may be used for muscle conditioning, depending on instructor. Bring a mat or heavy towel to class and a water bottle.

 Mat Pilates - Be a Hollywood star (or just look like one)! This intensive mat workout enhances posture, flexibility, endurance and balance while toning and firming your Powerhouse (core). Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, hand weights and band.

Power Flex (Total Body Stretch) - Are life’s challenges stressing you out? Take charge of your life--clear your mind, limber up your body and soothe your spirit, increase circulation and enhance your range of motion and flexibility with a variety of controlled , concentrated stretches that are good for the entire body. This amazing class includes the essentials of proper form, breathing awareness and relaxation techniques. Give yourself the gift of stress relief. Bring a mat, wear loose, comfortable clothing and leave your stress behind.

Power Pilates - Develop your body into a long and lean Pilates machine. You know the Pilates basics, now challenge yourself with more advanced moves, alignment work, and improve the mind-body connection. You deserve a challenging workout that will change the way you live in your body and process life’s challenges. This class is for serious students who have completed at least one session of Pilates in the past month. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, hand weights and band.

PowerSpin - Spinning Class!! You've heard about the craze, now experience it first hand! An aerobic workout done on a bike, but not JUST any bike...a high intensity spinning bike. You better believe there's more to this class than just pedaling!

Resistance Training - Strength training has been proven to boost metabolism and improve the effectiveness of your aerobics training program. Join us for this non-stop, challenging, but fun workout which will tone the upper and lower body using rubber resistance equipment. No heavy weights! No big machines! Good for first time exercisers and fitness enthusiasts alike. Cost for X-ertube and figure 8 tube. Instructor will have various sizes to try at the first class. Bring mat or towel.

Salsa Aerobics - When the rhythmic beats of Latin, African, and Native American music begin, your body will start moving in a whole new way. The steps are easy to follow - you don't need to be a dancer - but the routines burn calories and tone in a total body workout. You will move to tone hips, abs, thighs, and buns. Intervals are used to maximize the burning of calories and keep your
heart rate up. Hot music! Fun movements!

Senior Fit Ball - For the chronologically gifted —these big stability balls provide a great, fun-filled workout that can be modified for each fitness level. Fight osteoporosis with weight bearing exercise. Heart friendly low impact cardio, balance, muscle strength, conditioning and heavenly muscle stretches are included. Bring a mat or towel, hand weights, water bottle and some attitude!

Seniorcise - Whether you are 55+, just getting started in an exercise program or have added limitations to your physical being, this class is designed for you! Seniorcize is a vitalizing, easy to follow exercising routine. Included is a safe warm up, cardiovascular aerobic conditioning, muscle strengthening with range-of-motion and ending with a relaxing, stress free cool down. Bring a water bottle.

  60 Minute Madness (The Ultimate Fitness Workout) - This is a fitness class for those of you who get bored easily! You'll get 10 minutes each of the most popular classes in the fitness industry for a FULL 60 minutes of ever-changing, fat burning FUN! Bring water, exercise mat and dumbbells. Class format will be 10 minutes each of Kickboxing Kraze, Aerobic Intervals, Boot Camp Burn, Upper Body Blitz, Yoga Booty & Legs, and Pilates Abs.

Step Aerobics - For those who have tried it all and still aren’t satisfied with their hips, buns and legs this is the class for you. This bench step class is a great high energy aerobic workout that also sculpts your lower body as it strengthens your heart and builds bone mass. Step is provided. Bring mat, weights, band and water. Make sure you wear athletic shoes with good support. Step up to a whole new level of fitness!

Step Circuit Aerobics - Step up, down and all around to a whole new level of fitness with the ultimate step class. This step circuit program combines our traditional bench step class with muscle strengthening and toning for total body enhancing workout. Get in step today!!

Tai Chi -  Tai Chi is the most popular form of exercise in China today. Tai Chi uses low impact postures, deep breathing, and circular movements that are easy to learn and fun to do. Practicing Tai Chi can greatly increase circulation, flexibility, balance and posture. This Tai chi program integrates three different styles of Tai Chi; Chen, Yang, and Sun Styles which encompass the entire 800 year history of its practice in the world.

Total Body Conditioning - Build muscle strength and endurance - and create a lean sculpted appearance. Fun group resistance training set to energetic music. Burn more calories with more muscle!!! All levels of participants welcomed and encouraged. Bring a mat or towel and bottled water. Weights, bands, weight bars, rubber resistance tubing, and fitballs may be used to sculpt and strengthen will give you results with this proven, effective combination.

Water Aerobics Get a splash out of life with this water aerobic program. This is a low-impact workout with cardiovascular conditioning and high-caloric output. The water is your resistance to help you get trim while toning your muscles. Water resistance strengthens muscles without joint stress. Resistance equipment and other techniques are used to enhance range of motion and increase strength. Work at your own pace and no swimming is required. Bring a towel and a lock for the locker.

Youth Fitness Explosion - Join Fitness Factory for a motivating exercise program sure to get any kid off the couch! Class starts with a simple warm-up and includes jumping rope, fun relays, non-combative kickboxing, stretching and emphasizes good eating habits. All levels can participate. Wear comfortable clothes, athletic shoes, bring water to drink and be prepared to have fun! Grades 3-5.

  Zoombah Fit - Set to Latin and other international music, Zoombah Fit is a fun dance-sculpting-combo class that is extremely effective in burning calories and keeping the heart rate up. The steps are very easy to learn and follow and will get you moving for a high-energy workout to tone and shape your whole body. Bring water. 

 

Policies

Must Pre-register for all classes before the start date of class

  • Classes are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted.

  • WALK-INS WELCOME to sample a class at participating locations only $9.00  fee for Aerobic type classes.  $11.00 fee for Pilates classes. Call 248.353.2885 for information before attending class.

  • REFUND POLICY: Each City listed may have a different refund policy. Please check their policy before registering for any class. Classes that Fitness Factory takes registrations for may be canceled up until the first day of class . If a class is cancelled by Fitness Factory or community location, refunds will be PRO-RATED based upon the number of classes held.

  • A waiver  and release  form must be filled out before participating in any class.

  • No children under the age of 12 in any class with adults.

  • Price variation dependent on facilities and/or number of weeks per session.

  • All Students, including unlimiteds, that are registered in any given community may only  attend  classes within the the system in which they are registered, i.e., if registered with Novi Parks & Rec., you may not attend Novi Community Ed.

  • No make-up classes allowed (due to insurance) i.e. if you are registered for a  Monday & Wednesday class and miss a Monday class it cannot be substituted for any other time, class, or day.  No exceptions.

  • After 2 weeks: Classes are pro-rated plus $10.00 late fee for classes that Fitness Factory takes the registration.   Call 248.353.2885 for information.

  • Hand held weights & dynabands are optional in some workouts.

  • Weather cancellation policy:  Make-up scheduling policy: Classes held in schools will be cancelled if the respective school district is closed. Classes held at parks & recreations, churches, health clubs, senior centers and corporate classes etc. will not assumed to be closed. Classes will be held if the facility is open. If a class date is canceled due to weather circumstances, every effort will be made to set up a make-up date as the schedule allows. However, this is not always possible and, therefore, make-ups cannot be guaranteed.

  • Instructors listed may be subject to change.

  • Classes may be cancelled due to low registration.

  • Most classes have a maximum number of students allowed.  Please register early, as classes will be closed for registration when maximums are met.
